"Post implementation of GST, the small traders are undergoing tough times. Even many are on the verge of closing down their operations. Adding to this plight, the centre's decision to increase the rate of globalisation in retail sector is highly condemnable", said Vikrama Raja, President of Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangam Peramaipu.

Mr. Vikrama Raja addressed the press here on Wednesday and warned that the centre will feel the repercussion of such anti-trade policies during the upcoming 2019 elections.
"The recent directives and proposals on trade policies have largely questioned the livelihood of the traders", he added.
If such directives continue, we have planned to consolidate all the traders and call for a nation-wide protest, Mr. Vikrama Raja apprised.
